Make It Make Sense: FSC
If you've been looking up FSC®, you've probably noticed that the work doesn't add up at first glance. Workday consulting and astrophysics. Information theory and grant infrastructure. Plasma physics and institutional evaluation. It looks like a charcuterie board of unrelated interests held together by one person who can't sit still.
I'm not great at explaining myself, so I'll be using this series to try. What's the point of Final Stop Consulting? Why am I even doing this?
Not Advisory vs “Hands-On.”
Not HR vs IT.
Not Workday vs Oracle.
Not consulting vs client-side.
Not Business vs Science.
Not ecology vs biology.
Not neurology vs physics.
Not astrophysics vs information theory.
Not sociology vs psychology.
Not AI vs anti-AI.
Not classical vs quantum.
I operate where the “vs” came from.
FSC is a measurement-infrastructure firm. I identify where systems lose information through their own diagnostic structure, and I build the integrative measurements that recover it.
I find the entropy and expose the lie. I attack the observation problem. That's all FSC does.
I have a very particular focus. A very particular worldview/way of thinking. It is constantly, brutally uncomfortable — and that discomfort is what gives me access to disruptive thinking.
That's the best way I can make it make sense right now.
The site will change. I'll add my targeted research focuses and current publications. I'll invite more collaboration.
But I wanted this on record first.
